'FRANKFURT' CONFERENCE CITY- 2025'

Frankfurt – the financial centre, the European city, the traffic hub, the smallest metropolis in the world. When you think of the city on the Main, you think of the Frankfurt Airport, the Paulskirche and Goethe, the Stock Exchange, the Book Fair and the skyline. No doubt about it: Frankfurt brings opposites together. A global city where international flair meets homey cosiness.

Part of the unmistakable style of the city are the museums along the banks of the River Main, the bold high-rise architecture, the thinkers of the Frankfurt School as well as the Grüne Soße, Ebbelwei (apple wine) and Frankfurter sausages. And last but not least, and indeed difficult to believe, the financial metropolis is not a concrete jungle, but rather a very green city

TRAVEL/ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION:

Frankfurt is a well-connected city with excellent transportation options, making it easily accessible by air, train, bus, tramp, and other modes of transport.

Frankfurt Airport (FRA): Located about 13 km northeast of the city center, Frankfurt Airport serves Germany’s fifth largest city and is the main hub for the German airline, Lufthansa.

Metro, Trams, and Buses: Operated by the RMV (Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund), Frankfurt’s public transit system includes the U-Bahn (metro), trams, and buses. The U-Bahn is particularly efficient for quick travel within the city and its suburbs, while trams and buses provide extensive coverage across the city and surrounding areas.

Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof: The main train station, Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, is one of the busiest in Europe. It serves as a major hub for both national and international trains, including high-speed services like ICE (InterCity Express), connecting Frankfurt to cities such as Berlin, Munich, Paris, and Zurich.

Other Major Stations: In addition to Hauptbahnhof, Frankfurt Süd (South) and Frankfurt West are important stations that handle regional and national train services.

Bike-Friendly: Frankfurt is becoming increasingly bike-friendly, with a growing network of cycling paths and bike-sharing schemes like “Call a Bike” provided by Deutsche Bahn, making it easier to navigate the city by bike.
