Christina is the Director of Emerging Science, Nutrition, and Regulatory Affairs at Ocean Spray Cranberries, leading a team focused on scientific substantiation for health products and regulatory guidance. She played a key role in obtaining the first FDA-qualified health claim for cranberry in reducing UTIs and has led initiatives on novel food and GRAS approvals. Christina currently leads technology scouting for innovation and sustainability projects with start-ups.
She holds leadership roles in various cross-sector initiatives, including Chair of the IAFNS Bioactives Committee and the Cognitive Health Working Group, Treasurer of the National Berry Crops Alliance, and Chair of the Juice Products Association Board. Christina is active in the National Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine Food Forum and the Tufts Friedman School Food and Nutrition Innovation Institute.
Christina earned her doctorate in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard. She has co-authored over 50 research papers and holds multiple patents
