Lagos Food Bank Initiative is a non-profit, private-driven initiative with operations in Nigeria that is committed to fighting malnutrition and hunger, through targeted programs that seeks to improve the nutrition/food intake of pregnant women and their infants; students in public primary and secondary schools and the youths in the underserved communities. Our work also focuses on reducing food waste and organizing entrepreneurship training and job placement programs that help our beneficiaries become more self-reliant. Our food banking network across Lagos State caters for the immediate and long term needs of vulnerable communities. Since 2015 we have served up to 160 rural and under-served communities in Lagos State and over 2,000,000 beneficiaries, especially, children between the ages of 0-16 years, the youths and vulnerable women in the rural communities have been impacted.
